LONDON (Alliance News) - Ruffer Investment Company Thursday said it made net fair value gains on its financial assets after making losses this time last year.
Ruffer Investment Company, which owns government index-linked bonds and shares in a variety of UK-listed companies including BT Group PLC and ICAP PLC, said it made net fair value gains on its financial assets of GBP27.9 million between July 1 and July 1 2011, compared with losses of GBP4.5 million for the corresponding period the year prior.
It had financial assets at fair value through profit or loss of GBP298.7 million on June 30, compared with GBP256.2 million on June 30 2012.
Ruffer's net asset value per share was 213.9 pence on June 30, up 22p between July 1 2012 and June 30 2013, as well as 3.2 pence in dividends being paid.
Ruffer's shares were Thursday quoted at 223.3 pence, up 1.3 pence, or 0.6%.
