RSA Insurance's Irish Chief Quits As Probe Into Claims Continues

29th Nov 2013 06:48

LONDON (Alliance News) - RSA Insurance Group PLC Thursday said that head of its Irish division, Philip Smith, has resigned in the wake of his suspension pending a probe into claims and finance issues.

The company said the resignation is effective immediately and Smith won't get any severance package.

The insurer said it is looking for a replacement, and in the interim Adrian Brown, the head of the UK and West Europe operations, will also be in charge of the Irish business.

The company said it is continuing to work with Irish authorities on the investigation.
