LONDON (Alliance News) - Royal Mail PLC Thursday said it has started looking for a new chairman because Donald Brydon has told its board he will step down later this year after six years in the role.
In a statement, the postal operator said Brydon will continue to chair the board until at least its annual general meeting in the summer.
"I am proud of what Royal Mail has achieved as a company in the last six years. Our transformation is well underway and we are now a FTSE 100 listed company. I feel that now is the right time for me to make this decision," Brydon said in a statement.
Senior Independent Director Orna Ni-Chionna is leading the search for a new chairman.
