LONDON (Alliance News) - Royal Mail PLC said Wednesday it has reached a one-year pay deal with the Communications Workers Union for April 2016 to April 2017, agreeing a 1.6% increase in base salary for all employees represented by the union.
The pay deal is subject to a ballot in favour by the union members, and the union will recommend its members accept the offer, Royal Mail said.
The pay increase also applies to basic pay supplements, skills and shift allowances, London weighting, overtime, and scheduled attendance rates.
Shares in Royal Mail were down 1.9% at 530.50 pence Wednesday.
