LONDON (Alliance News) - Roxi Petroleum PLC on Tuesday provided a further update on work at its BNG contract area in Kazakhstan.
The company said the blockage at Deep Well A5 on the site has now been cleared and pressure in the well has returned to the levels seen when drilling first started. The stuck pipe which caused the blockage is still in the well but is not expected to impact the outcome of the tests being conducted.
At the Deep Well 801 site, the casing in the well has been set to a level of 4,790 metres and drilling has now resumed.
"Progress at the BNG deep wells can best be described as steady. However, we look forward to reporting the results of our ongoing work in the near future," said Clive Carver, Roxi's chairman.
Shares in Roxi were up 3.1% to 14.945 pence on Tuesday.
