Roxi Petroleum Receives Further Loan Repayments From Galaz Sale

19th Jun 2015 10:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - Roxi Petroleum PLC Friday said it has received total repayments of USD10.4 million from a loan it made as part of the process of selling its equity and debt interests in the Galaz contract area in Kazakhstan.

The USD10.4 million received in payments includes the repayment of USD6.9 million that the company announced last Friday.

That leaves a further USD12.6 million left for Roxi to recoup from the loan in total, and the company said the total repayments received to date will be used to further the company's flagship BNG asset in Kazakhstan.

The company initiated the sale of the Galaz contract area in February to a consortium being led by Chinese firm Xinjiang Zhundong Petroleum Technology Co.

Roxi shares were up 1.6% to 17.52 pence per share on Friday morning.
