Rotork promotes divisional head Kiet Huynh to chief executive

10th Jan 2022 09:12

(Alliance News) - Manufacturer Rotork PLC on Monday said it has promoted Kiet Huynh to chief executive officer, having previously been managing director of the Water & Power and Chemical, Process & Industrial divisions.

Huynh has joined the Rotork board and assumed the role of CEO with immediate effect.

Rotork is a Bath-based company that makes flow-control products for the energy, water and chemical industries. It hired Huynh in 2018 and he has since led the CPI and Water & Power divisions

Back in August, Rotork had said that Kevin Hostetler planned to return to the US. Hostetler has stepped down from the board and as CEO but will remain available to support a smooth transition, the company said.

Rotork shares fell 0.9% to 356.40 pence in London on Monday morning.

"I am delighted to have in place a candidate of Kiet's calibre to succeed Kevin as CEO," commented Chair Martin Lamb.

"During his time with Rotork Kiet has excelled in the leadership of both the CPI division and, more recently, the Water & Power division, with a clear focus on driving profitable growth through close attention to customer needs and a strong commitment to product and service innovation. He has the leadership skills and operational experience to build on the excellent progress made over the last four years."

Rotork will publish 2021 results on March 1.
