Rolls-Royce Wins US Navy Trainer Aircraft Engine Servicing Deal Extension

7th Nov 2013 10:23

LONDON (Alliance News) - Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC Thursday said it has won a USD50.7 million extension to the contract it has to service engines used on the US Navy's T-45 training aircraft.

It has held the contract for 10 years, and the new deal means it will continue to service and support the engines until the end of March, 2014,

The T-45's are powered by Rolls-Royce F405 Adour engines, which also power Hawk AJTS aircraft that are a contender for a training programme tender currently being held by the US Air Force.

Rolls-Royce shares were up 0.5% at 1,156 pence Thursday, one of the biggest gainers on the FTSE 100.
