LONDON (Alliance News) - Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC Monday said Air China has selected the British company's Trent 1000 engines and its aftercare support to power 15 new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, building on a relationship the two companies already have and adding to Rolls-Royce's USD1 billion order book.
Air China already has 49 Trent 700-powered Airbus A330 aircraft in service, with four to be delivered, and 10 Trent XWB-powered Airbus A350XWB aircraft on order.
"This is a significant selection by a valued customer and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with Air China," Rolls-Royce Chief Executive John Rishton said.
