LONDON (Alliance News) - Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC has Wednesday secured another contract for the Trent 7000 engine after Hawaiian Airlines selected six Airbus A330-800neo planes.
Hawaiian Airlines has ordered Trent 700 engines in the past for A330 aircraft and BR715 engines for Boeing 717 aircraft. The new planes will replace 6 A350-800 aircraft Hawaiian has on order.
The win for Rolls-Royce follows a slew orders secured by the FTSE 100-listed aerospace company in recent weeks. They include Transaero Airlines selecting 12 Airbus A330neos and lessors CIT and Avalon both ordering 15 Airbus 330-900 aircraft, all of which are powered by the Trent 7000 engine.
Rolls-Royce shares were trading up 0.8% to 1,051.8 pence on Wednesday morning.
