LONDON (Alliance News) - Rolls-Royce Holding PLC said Wednesday that it has signed Azul Brazilian Airlines as a new customer, and has also signed an engine services agreement with the airline worth USD400 million.
The power systems and services provider said that Azul will operate 11 Trent-powered Airbus aircraft, and the airline has signed an agreement for its TotalCare engine service support.
"Our TotalCare support will help Azul to maximise aircraft availability and manage maintenance costs," said Bruce Blythe, Senior Vice President of Customers and Civil Large Engines.
Rolls-Royce said the new TotalCare order will boost the group's order book by USD100 million.
In 2013, annual underlying revenue were GBP15.5 billion, around half of which came from the provision of aftermarket services. The order book stood at GBP71.6 billion at the end of 2013.
Rolls-Royce shares were down 1.7% at 1,042.00 pence per share Wednesday afternoon.
