LONDON (Alliance News) - Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC on Wednesday said it has signed contracts in Norway to provide azimuth propulsion systems for five new double-ended ferries.
The contracts, with Norwegian shipping company Bastø-Fosen and Norwegian transport group Fjord 1, are worth a total of GBP5.5 million to the FTSE 100-listed aerospace and engineering company.
The ferries are being designed by Norwegian engineering and design consultancy Multi Maritime and are scheduled to enter service in the summer of 2016.
Rolls-Royce shares were down 0.1% to 952.50 pence Wednesday afternoon.
