LONDON (Alliance News) - Rolls Royce Holdings PLC said Monday it has been awarded a USD90.1 million production contract for engines to power the MV-22 Osprey vertical take-off aircraft for the US Marine Corps.
The power systems and services provider said the contract, which is a modification of a prior agreement, includes a total of 40 Rolls-Royce AE 1107C engines manufactured in Indiana.
Last week, Rolls-Royce said it had extended its contract with the US Air Force, which will see the firm increase support of the C-130J transport fleet.
Shares in Rolls-Royce were trading 0.03% higher at 995.29 pence per share Monday morning.
