RockRose Energy Commissions Two Reports For UK North Sea Fields

16th Mar 2018 13:20

LONDON (Alliance News) - Oil and gas company RockRose Energy PLC said Friday that it has commissioned two reports for its North Sea fields.

RockRose has contracted ERC Equipoise to evaluate the existing upside potential within the Blake field in the UK North Sea and the Tain satellite discovery.

Another report has been commissioned by the company to Crondall Energy to review the floating production storage and offloading options on the Blake and Ross fields. The report will look at either replacing the current vessel or extending its life, with the vessel targeted to be on station until 2024.

This is all being undertaken to extend the life of the fields and give the opportunity of discovering hydrocarbons in the area.

"Internal analysis undertaken since acquiring our interest in the Blake and Ross fields suggests there is significant upside in terms of recoverable discovered hydrocarbons, particularly in the Tain area. We have commissioned independent reports to be able to make informed financial decisions regarding further development/redevelopment opportunities. The results of these reports will be available in the next couple of months," said Executive Chairman Andrew Austin.

Shares in RockRose Energy were untraded on Friday, last quoted at 359.00 pence.
