LONDON (Alliance News) - Rockhopper Exploration PLC on Monday said it spud the Al Jahraa-7 in-fill well, in Egypt.
Rockhopper holds a 22% working interest in its Egyptian portfolio.
As at Sunday, the well reached a depth of 1,195 metres. The company is planning to take 60 days to complete drilling of the well.
"We are delighted to have drilled yet another highly successful well at Abu Sennan with multiple pay zones encountered across four reservoirs including the Bahariya and maintaining the momentum we enjoyed during 2018 where we were successful in three out of four wells," Chief Executive Officer Sam Moody.
Rockhopper Exploration shares were trading 1.4% lower at 21.39 pence each.
