LONDON (Alliance News) - Rockhopper Exploration PLC on Wednesday said it has appointed the former chief executive and chairman of Falkland Oil & Gas Ltd to its board ahead of the merger of the two companies.
The two companies agreed an all-share merger in November, which was approved by shareholders in January. The two companies had already been part of a joint venture with Premier Oil PLC working offshore the Falkland Islands.
Former Falkland Chief Executive Tim Bushell and Chairman John Martin will join the board of the combined company as non-executive directors.
Rockhopper shares were down 3.1% to 28.10 pence.
