Rockfire Survey Detects Large Target At Australian Gold Project

10th Dec 2019 13:45

(Alliance News) - Rockfire Resources PLC on Tuesday said an induced polarisation geophysical survey has identified multiple anomalies at the miner's 100%-owned Plateau gold deposit in Queensland, Australia.

Shares in Rockfire Resources were up 9.7% at 2.03 pence each in London.

The gold and base-metal focused explorer said a large geophysical anomaly has been detected around and beneath BPL025 target, which intersected 177 metres at 0.5 grams per ton of gold.

The anomaly, which is 350 metres wide and over 200 metres long, has been proven to host gold mineralisation near surface and provides multiple strong targets for gold exploration at depth, Rockfire explained.

The survey separately has detected a second large anomaly located 300 metres south of Plateau project. The anomaly also extends from surface to over 400 metres deep and is completely undrilled.

Rockfire said it continues to await results from the remaining 11 drill holes from October Plateau drilling campaign and intends to extend the geophysical survey towards the east to track the gold anomaly further.
