(Alliance News) - Plastic and paper packaging firm Robinson PLC said Tuesday it has appointed Helene Roberts as chief executive officer with effect on November 4.
She will be replacing Adam Formela, who left the group in December after 11 years in the role since 2007.
Since Formela left, Martin McGee has been CEO of Robinsons on an interim basis. McGee will step down from the board also on November 4.
Roberts is currently managing director for the UK, Ireland and Australia at plastic packaging and printing firm Klockner Pentaplast for two years since 2017.
"Helene's deep understanding and experience of plastics packaging - which includes materials, product design and innovation, end-to-end business improvement and the plastics circular economy, combined with her obvious leadership talent, gives the board great confidence that she can lead Robinson on the next phase of our journey," said Chair Alan Raleigh.
"I would also like to place on record the board's appreciation for the excellent contribution that Martin McGee has made as interim chief executive," said Raleigh.
Shares in Robinson were down 0.6% at 80.00 pence on Tuesday.
