LONDON (Alliance News) - Robert Walters PLC said Thursday it had a record first half performance in the six months ended June, with performance across all regions strong.
The recruitment consultancy increased its revenue for the period by 11% to GBP625.9 million from GBP562.7 million the year before.
The company's pretax profit increased by 32% to GBP20.6 million from GBP15.6 million. Robert Walters said every region increased its net fee income and operating profit with fifteen countries producing record results.
Robert Walters' second quarter was also its first ever GBP100 million net fee income quarter.
The company's Asia-Pacific region, which represents 39% of net fee income, increased its net fee income by 8% to GBP73.1 million from GBP67.4 million the year before.
The UK region, 28% of net fee income, increased the figure to GBP52.6 million from GBP48.3 million. Its Europe region, 26% of net fee income, increased its net fee income by 29% to GBP48.9 million from GBP38.0 million.
Robert Walters is increasing its interim dividend by 45% to 4.0 pence from 2.75 pence the year before.
Chief Executive Robert Walters said: "The group delivered record first half profits, in line with recently increased market expectations. Growth was strong and broad-based across all regions and our permanent, contract, interim and recruitment process outsourcing revenue streams.
"We enter the second half of 2018 with confidence and we have increased the interim dividend by 45%. The group's platform for growth continues to be strong, across both emerging and well-established markets and disciplines, and we are well positioned to further capitalise on market opportunities as they arise."
Shares in Robert Walters were up 1.7% Thursday at 775.00 pence each.
