(Alliance News) - Asset manager River & Mercantile Group PLC on Thursday announced the appointment of Simon Wilson as chief financial officer.
Wilson joins from Topland Group PLC, London-based River & Mercantile said, one of the UK's largest private investment group. He currently serves at Topland as finance chief.
Before that, he worked at Pacific Investments as managing director of Corporate Finance. Whilst there, he helped set up River & Mercantile Asset Management LLP alongside River & Mercantile's Chief Executive James Barham.
Barham said: "I am delighted Simon is joining the group at this exciting time. I have known Simon for many years and worked closely with him during the establishment of our equity asset management business and subsequently during the merger with P-Solve.
"He has a wealth of experience in the asset management sector gained during his time at Hawkpoint and Pacific Investments which will prove invaluable as we continue to drive growth across the group."
Shares in the company were untraded in London on Thursday, last quoted at 237.40 pence each.
