LONDON (Alliance News) - Rightster Group PLC said Wednesday that it had seen growth in its video traffic in the first quarter of 2014, driven by new and existing customers.
Rightster provides cloud-based distribution and monetisation services for live and on-demand video content.
Video traffic grew during its first quarter to 355 million average views per month, up 28% from the fourth quarter of 2013, which had average views of 278 million per month.
Rightster said it was continuing to consider acquisition opportunities to accelerate its growth. It acquired Sports Syndicator in August 2013.
It said it was on track to roll out the second generation of its software platform during the year, which would bring benefits to its clients, and generate further efficiencies and new revenues streams for Rightster.
The company finalised a deal with India Today Group Digital in March to monetise views on its sits and syndicate its video content across Righster's publisher network; which it said expands its geographical footprint and audience network in the growing Indian market
Shares in Rightster were trading up 5.3% at 77.95 pence Wednesday morning.
