Rightmove Says Page Impressions And Advertiser Revenue Up in 2014

7th May 2014 09:02

LONDON (Alliance News) - Rightmove PLC Wednesday said its positive start to 2014 highlighted earlier in the year has continued, with page impressions and average revenue per advertiser both up during the period.

In an interim management statement for the period January 1 to date, the company, which runs rightmove.co.uk, said page impressions are up 14% on the same period in 2013, while average revenue per advertiser had shown healthy growth, reflecting further adoption of additional advertising products and packages.

The website allows estate agents and home sellers to advertise properties for sale and potential buyers to browse those adverts, which include descriptions, pictures and often floor plans, plus the estate agent or seller contact details. It provides the same service for renters and letters.

Rightmove said it generated a record 14.8 million enquiries from its customers during the period, while the number of agency and new homes advertisers at the end of April were up 2% compared with December 31.

"Rightmove's popularity continues to grow, with traffic setting new records and further increasing the market leading reach we provide for customers' properties and brands," Chief Executive Nick McKittrick said in a statement.

"Our mobile apps and mobile optimised sites have proved particularly effective in driving the growth in traffic resulting in 30% more enquiries for our customers compared to the same period last year," he added.

The stock was trading at 2,388.00 pence Wednesday morning, down 16.00 pence or 0.7%.
