(Alliance News) - Ricardo PLC on Wednesday announced its unit Ricardo Defense has secured a three-year USD89 million contract to supply up to 9,480 retrofit kits for the US army's high mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle.
The West Sussex, England-based environmental services consultancy said the first delivery order will include USD10 million to deliver 1,200 critical safety improvement anti-lock brake system and electronic stability control retrofit kits by August 2021.
Ricardo said a second delivery order is expected later in the year to increase deliveries to 2,000 retrofit kits over the next 12 months.
"This is a significant milestone and strong example of Ricardo Defense's commitment to provide solutions to meet the tough challenges facing our customers and ensure the safety of our men and women in uniform. In fielding this system, we are tremendously proud to contribute to the Army's commitment to the safety of our soldiers and civilians alike," said Ricardo Defense President Chet Gryczan.
Shares in Ricardo were down 0.4% at 487.20 pence in London on Wednesday.
