LONDON (Alliance News) - Mariana Resources Ltd said its joint-venture partner on the Hot Maden Prospect in Turkey has reported strong drilling results for the prospect, sending Mariana shares higher in early trade on Monday.
Mariana said its joint-venture partner, Lidya Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS, had intersected a significantly higher grade massive sulphide zone in one of the drill holes, and found zinc mineralisation below the gold-copper zone in another of the holes.
"We are extremely excited with these significant results, which are game changing not only for the Hot Maden Prospect but also for Mariana," said Chief Executive Officer Glen Parsons.
Mariana shares were up 24% to 1.36 pence on Monday morning, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
