REPEAT: Ascent Resources Gets Permit For Peti?ovci Field Station

24th Jun 2015 11:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ascent Resources PLC on Wednesday said it has received a provisional Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Permit from Slovenia's Environmental Authority for the installation of the Gas Gathering and Separation Station at the Peti?ovci field.

Appeals against the permit can be lodged in the next 30 days, Ascent said, but once the permit becomes legally valid, Ascent can start procurement and construction of the station.

"This is a major step forward in the development of the Peti?ovci project. The award has been made after many months in-depth consideration by the Slovenian authorities of all the issues in the development of the project including detailed submissions from objectors to the project," said Chairman Clive Carver.

"Although the award is capable of appeal we believe that any further consideration of the issues would result in the same outcome it is now only a matter of time before work can start in earnest on the gas gathering and separation station," Carver added.

Ascent shares were down 1.9% to 0.1521 pence on Wednesday.
