Renishaw Engineering Director Steps Down To Take Part-Time Role

25th Jun 2019 09:26

(Alliance News) - Renishaw PLC said Tuesday that Engineering Director Geoff McFarland will resign from his role and the board with effect on June 30 due to family reasons, but will remain in a part-time role as director of group technology.

McFarland in his new role will take responsibility for the precision instrument maker's research centres and intellectual property.

McFarland has been part of Renishaw for 25 years since 1994.

"I have worked with Geoff for many years, during which time he has been very supportive of me in my various roles in the business. While I am sorry that he is leaving the Board, I am very pleased that we will still benefit from his expertise and knowledge of the research community," said Chief Executive Will Lee.

Shares in Renishaw were down 1.5% at 4,044.00 pence on Tuesday.
