LONDON (Alliance News) - The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd Friday said it is in talks to buy a significant stake in six operational onshore wind projects in Scotland.
Advised by InfraRed Capital Partners, with Renewable Energy Systems serving as operations manager, the London-listed investment company said it is in the "advanced stage" of exclusive talks with Fred. Olsen Renewables Ltd to acquire the portfolio, which amounts to a combined 433 megawatts of capacity.
The potential deal is expected to be funded through cash and an extension of the group's acquisition debt facility, which would be repaid out of subsequent new equity issue proceeds.
The group has previously said it expects to issue further equity in June or July.
Shares in the company were down 0.5% at 107.25 pence on Friday morning.
