LONDON (Alliance News) - Renewable Energy Generation Ltd on Monday said it has secured a contract for the Netley Landfill ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project in the first round of the UK government's contracts-for-difference scheme.
The project in Hampshire, south England, was one of three solar schemes to successfully secure a CfD for delivery in 2016-17 at a strike price of GBP79.23 per megawatt hour.
Renewable Energy Generation said it expects the project to be complete by the end of 2016.
"Today's announcement provides an element of welcome certainty as we progress our portfolio of CfD projects," said Chief Executive Officer Andrew Whalley.
Shares in Renewable Energy Generation were down 0.3% to 61.69 pence on Monday.
