Renewable Energy Firm Green & Smart's Shares Rise On AIM Debut (ALLIPO)

LONDON (Alliance News) - Shares in renewable energy company Green & Smart Holdings PLC rose on their AIM debut on Thursday.

The company, which generates power from biogas captured through the treatment of the effluent produced by palm oil mills during processing, issued 44.4 million shares at 9.00 pence per share to raise GBP4.0 million in its initial public offering. Its market capitalisation upon admission was GBP24.9 million.

Early Thursday, shares in the group were trading at 10.34p, up 15% from their float price.

"We are delighted with the support shown by both UK and Malaysian investors for our admission to AIM," said Managing Director Saravanan Rasaratnam.
