(Alliance News) - Remote Monitored Systems PLC on Thursday said GyroMetric Systems Ltd has developed and launched its absolute dynamic shaft alignment system.
Remote Monitored Systems holds a 58% holding in GyroMetric Systems.
The surveying services company said GyroMetric's system is a "significant breakthrough", which enables any builder or owner of large rotating equipment to install GyroMetric's equipment, use it to align the shafts initially, and then leave it in place to monitor conditions during the life of the asset, and when misalignment occurs, use it to measure and correct the shaft alignment absolutely.
"GyroMetric's new absolute dynamic shaft alignment system has the potential to transform the alignment and monitoring of rotating machinery, resulting in significant reductions in operating costs and improved failure prevention in many industrial applications," explained Remote Monitored Systems Executive Director Trevor Brown.
Remote Monitored Systems shares were trading 6.5% lower on Thursday in London at 0.50 pence each.
