(Alliance News) - Remote Monitored Systems PLC on Friday said GyroMetric Systems Ltd has signed an agreement to install digital monitoring equipment on a critical drive at Tarmac Ltd's Tunstead cement plant.
Remote holds a 58% stake in GyroMetric.
Tarmac, a manufacturer of cement, and GyroMetric have signed an agreement to purchase and install digital monitoring equipment on the drive to the Raw Mill at the Tunstead cement plant.
The drive is to the rock crushing mill, which converts limestone from the on-site quarry into powder. Failure of this primary piece of plant stops the entire process, causing very expensive down time, Remote explained.
Remote shares were trading 2.4% higher in London on Friday at 0.59 pence each.
