RedT Energy Secures Orders From German, European Customers

14th Dec 2015 09:40

LONDON (Alliance News) - Energy storage technology company RedT Energy PLC on Monday said it has secured new orders for its energy storage systems, with one already shipped from its Scottish manufacturing facility.

The first of the units will be delivered to a major German commercial building services and products company, which it did not name. The company is planning to use the system with a photovoltaic system at one of its buildings in Germany.

The second order is from a large European utility with operations in the UK, which RedT also did not name. The unit will be delivered to a warehousing and logistics company in the south west of England, and the utility intends to use the system to demonstrate improved payback from its existing solar installation.

No financial details were disclosed.

"The two orders announced today are our sixth and seventh market seeding units and extend the breadth of applications and jurisdictions where these units will be operating," said RedT Chief Executive Scott McGregor.

Shares in RedT were up 4.9% to 8.65 pence.
