Redcentric Hires EMIS Exec As New Finance Chief; Boss Made Permanent

28th May 2019 12:23

LONDON (Alliance News) - Redcentric PLC said Tuesday it hired EMIS Group PLC finance executive Dean Barber as its new finance chief from the start of September, following the permanent appointment of the former incumbent as the IT services firm boss.

Barber will join Redcentric as chief financial officer after former numbers chief Peter Brotherton assumed the position of chief executive officer on a permanent basis. Brotherton had taken the helm on an interim basis in November 2018.

Barber - a chartered accountant - is currently serving as financial controller at medical software firm EMIS, a role he has held since 2013. Prior to this, he worked in senior finance positions at Skanska UK, WM Morrison Supermarkets PLC and Jarvis PLC.

Redcentric Chair Chris Cole explained he was "pleased" to welcome Barber to Redcentric, adding that his "experience and skills will be of great benefit to the company."

"I would also like to congratulate Peter on his appointment as CEO on behalf of the board and thank him for his contribution since he assumed chief executive responsibilities and previously as chief financial officer," Cole added.

Shares in Redcentric were 2.7% higher at 80.20 pence on Tuesday.
