LONDON (Alliance News) - Engineering and technology recruiter Matchtech Group PLC on Monday said it will change its name to Gattaca PLC.
Matchtech said the name change came after extensive research conducted with employees, candidates, and current and potential clients which found some confusion may be caused by the group name Matchtech being shared with its operating engineering brand, also Matchtech.
Under the Gattaca name, Matchtech will continue to house its engineering recruitment under the Matchtech name, with its Cappo unit to cover oil and gas recruitment and Networkers to handle technology recruitment.
The plans will be put to shareholders at a meeting, the details of which will be published imminently, before name change then goes into effect from September 2, assuming shareholders approve the move.
Shares in Matchtech were down 3.1% to 315.00 pence Monday.
