(Alliance News) - Record PLC on Thursday said it has promoted Leslie Hill to the role of chief executive effective immediately, replacing James Wood-Collins who held the role for nine years.
Wood-Collins will stay on for the duration of his notice period to assist with an orderly transition, said the Windsor-based currency manager.
Hill will take over the leadership role from her position as deputy chief executive & head of Client Team. She joined Record in 1992, was appointed head of client team in 1999 and was hired as deputy chief executive in 2010.
"James has served Record loyally and with utmost personal commitment. He has stabilised the business in the wake of the financial crisis, led its subsequent development and diversification, opened new client and product markets for growth, and maintained and enhanced the highest standards of probity, governance and culture. On behalf of the board, I would like to thank him for his outstanding contribution, said Chair Neil Record.
"James and the rest of the board have agreed that a new leadership strategy will be better suited to delivering on the growth opportunities that Record is currently anticipating. As such I am pleased to announce that Leslie Hill has agreed to serve as chief executive. We look forward to Leslie implementing this strategy, and to the company reaping the rewards of this," he added.
The stock closed flat at 37.70 pence each on Thursday in London.
