Real Estate Investors Buys Birmingham Building For GBP1.6 Million

14th Apr 2014 07:02

LONDON (Alliance News) - Real Estate Investors PLC Monday said it has acquired 33 Bennetts Hill in Birmingham city centre for GBP1.6 million in cash from commercial property consultants GVA, acting on behalf of Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC.

The West Midlands-based property group said the listed building comprises 8,127 square feet and was formerly the original branch of Midlands Bank.

"This historic and unique building is an excellent addition to our growing city centre portfolio," Chief Executive Paul Bassi said in a statement. "We are already in discussions with a high profile occupier and hope to announce a letting in the near future."

Bassi said the firm is also in negotiations regarding a number of other acquisitions and new lettings.
