(Alliance News) - RDL Realisation PLC proposed to pay a 255 pence per share special dividend Thursday after completing its refinance.
RDL - formerly Ranger Direct Lending Fund PLC - is in the process of winding down its portfolio and it looked to refinance the entirety of its debt balance. On Wednesday, RDL explained it would distribute a special dividend once the refinance was complete.
On Thursday, RDL proposed a 255.00p per share special dividend. Of this, 13% is attributed to an interest distribution and the remainder as a dividend.
"As a part interest distribution, the company is taking advantage of UK tax treatment by 'streaming income from interest-bearing investments into dividends that will be taxed in the hands of shareholders as interest income," RDL said in a statement.
Shares in RDL closed 0.8% higher at 486.00p in London on Thursday.
