LONDON (Alliance News) - Rangers International Football Club PLC Wednesday said that the board was continuing discussions with a group of shareholders about the retraction of a requisitioned general meeting to appoint four non-executive directors.
Rangers confirmed the requisitioners have since proposed to withdraw the requisition based on their request for the appointment of four additional non executive directors, being John McClelland, a former chairman of Rangers Football Club, Sandy Easdale, an existing shareholder of the Company, Paul Murray, a former director of Rangers Football Club and Frank Blin, formally of PwC. Rangers said the requisitioners are no longer seeking to remove any of the current directors, subject to the above request for appointments.
Rangers shares Wednesday closed at 52.00 pence per share, unchanged.
