LONDON (Alliance News) - Oil & gas exploration company Range Resources Ltd Monday said it has appointed a vice president of production and a vice president of exploration instead of a single chief operating officer.
In a statement, Range Resources, which kicked off the search for a new chief operating officer in February, said it has appointed Douglas Field, a former employee of Tullow Oil, as its VP of Production.
William Duncan, previously VP of Exploration and Development for Suncor Energy in Calgary, Canada, has been appointed as VP of Exploration.
Both men will be based in London.
"During the interview process it became clear that bringing in both Douglas Field and William Duncan together would be truly transformative hires for the company," Rory Russell, chief executive, said in a statement.
Russell was appointed as CEO of Range Resources at the beginning of February.
"Following the streamlining of our corporate overheads we expect this to be cost neutral to the group. We are confident that we now have the core team in place to run the company and its portfolio of assets in an efficient and cost-effective manner with the clear objective of delivering
value to our shareholders," Russell added.
Range Resources shares were Monday quoted at 1.02 pence, unchanged.
