20th Oct 2014 07:42

LONDON (Alliance News) - Range Resources Ltd on Monday said Sam Jonah is to step down as the non-executive chairman of the company after its annual general meeting next month, and will be replaced by Graham Lyon, who joined the board in February as a non-executive director.

"On behalf of the board and everyone at Range, I would like to thank Sam for his huge contribution, dedication and service to the company over the last eight years and wish him great success in his future endeavours," said Range Chief Executive Officer Rory Scott Russell.

"Graham is an outstanding candidate for the role of non-executive chairman and his extensive skills and experience make him the ideal person to lead the business through its next phase of evolution," he added.

Range shares were up 5.2% to 0.905 pence on Monday.
