LONDON (Alliance News) - Range Resources Ltd Monday said it has appointed Royal Dutch Shell PLC's Rory Russell as the company's new chief executive officer.
The hydrocarbon exploration firm said Russell has ten years of experience in upstream positions at Shell and was most recently finance manager for Exploration in Europe and Russia, based in London.
Range Resources said that Peter Landau will step down from his position as executive director with immediate effect, but will continue to support the company in a non-executive director role.
The company also said it has initiated a recruitment process for a full-time chief operating officer and will provide an update in due course.
Range Resources shares were up 5.5% to 1.35 pence Monday.
