(Alliance News) - Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings Ltd on Monday said it has hired William Spiegel as an executive director and deputy chair, effective immediately, before taking over as the insurance firm's chair in 12 months.
Spiegel will succeed Ken Randall as chair when Randall steps down following a 29-year stint, "in around 12 months", Randall & Quilter said.
William is joining Randall & Quilter from US private equity firm Pine Brook which he co-founded in 2006 and where he was managing partner.
He is currently a director at insurance provider Fidelis Insurance Holdings Ltd, retirement & life insurance company Global Atlantic Financial Group Ltd, and credit card company Fair Square Financial Holdings LLC.
He was previously director at investment management company Tunbridge Partners LLC, and Third Point Reinsurance Ltd.
Spiegel said: "It is a huge honour to be given this opportunity and I am looking forward to applying my 30 years of experience to R&Q. I have built my career on growing financial services companies in the US and the UK with a particular emphasis on insurance and insurance services. It will be my priority to continue to deliver profitable growth and build on R&Q's tremendous success."
Shares in Randall & Quilter were trading 1.4% higher at 180.04 pence each on Monday afternoon in London.
