LONDON (Alliance News) - Power producer Rame Energy PLC on Wednesday said it has signed a consultancy agreement with gold producer Goldcorp Inc.
Under the deal, Rame will provide services under a seven-month contract for a possible wind farm at Goldcorp's Cerro Negro mining project in Argentina.
No financial details were disclosed.
"We have significant experience of working with the mining industry in both Chile and Argentina to provide reliable, renewable energy for remote projects. We are delighted to be working with Goldcorp and very pleased to return to Argentina as the country looks forward to increasing economic development and to expanding its renewable energy sector," said Rame Chief Executive Tim Adams.
Rame shares were up 2.7% to 8.73 pence Wednesday.
