LONDON (Alliance News) - Rame Energy PLC on Monday said the work on its Raki/Huajache project in Chile is on schedule, with the commissioning of the turbines set for the start of December.
The Chile-focused energy consultant said it expects the completion stages on the 13 megawatt project to start in December.
Access roads, laydown areas and crane positions have been prepared at the site, while gravel piling beneath the turbine foundations also is done. Trenches for the inter-array electrical cabling have also been completed, as has the cabling between the onsite substation and overhead export line and the substation ground works, Rame said.
Following commissioning, power generated by the plant will be sold to EKA Chile SA, a joint venture between Dutch chemicals company Akzo Nobel NV and Celulosa Arauco y Constitucion SA, for 10 years.
"Completing power projects on time and budget involves effective, proactive management and strong alignment between the project stakeholders and the contractors and suppliers performing the works," said Rame Chief Executive Officer Tim Adams.
Rame shares were untraded on Monday, quoted at 13.875 pence.
