LONDON (Alliance News) - Power producer Rame Energy PLC on Friday said it has incorporated a UK solar generating subsidiary which will own and operate up to four UK rooftop photovoltaic projects with a potential capacity of up to 120 kilowatts.
Rame said the projects which will be managed by the Rame Solar One Ltd special purpose vehicle will quality for the feed-in tariff under UK government rules and will provide "robust and attractive long term returns".
Rame intends to roll out further vehicles in the future to finance, build and operate further photovoltaic assets in the UK.
"Whilst we are launching with four initial projects, we believe there is scope to greatly add to this UK PV portfolio. We have consciously put in place a corporate structure which will allow Rame to efficiently manage these and future assets from both a financial and operational perspective," said Rame Chief Executive Tim Adams.
Shares in Rame were untraded Friday morning, having last traded at 7.80 pence.
