Rame Energy Hoping To Drive Marine Business After New Facility Opens

31st Jul 2014 10:31

LONDON (Alliance News) - Rame Energy PLC Thursday said its marine services unit has opened a new waterside marine engineering premises in Plymouth.

"The new premises will allow us to pursue our strategy to grow our presence once more in the marine engineering sector having previously operated ship repair facilities in North Devon," Chief Executive Tim Adams said in a statement.

The 3,000 square foot workshop and associated yard storage space has slipways and deep water berthing, meaning Rame Marine can service and repair vessels both afloat and ashore.

"The opening of this new facility at Turnchapel marks a major step forward for Rame Marine and will enable us to produce valuable earnings whilst developing a technical skill base that is highly complementary and relevant to our Engineering Services division as a whole," Adams added.

Rame Energy shares were up 2.4% at 16.00 pence Thursday morning.
