(Alliance News) - Rambler Metals & Mining PLC said Tuesday it has made additional new high-grade intersection in recent drilling at its Ming copper-gold mine in Eastern Canada.
Rambler Metals shares were up 30% in London at 2.67 pence each on Tuesday.
The cooper and gold producer and explorer said 1,992 meters of exploration drilling was completed from September 1 to November 15.
New drill holes in Ming North Zone have intercepted massive sulphide mineralization at approximately 140 meters down plunge of the previous deepest hole drilled in the Ming North Zone that intercepted the ore zone.
Also, a new drill hole in the 1807 Zone intercepted "massive" sulphide approximately 130 meters down plunge of the previous deepest hole drilled there.
Andre Booyzen, president and chief executive officer, said: "The Ming North zone has, in the span of less than 18 months, gone from an exploration conceptual target to become an integral part of the short and long term mine production plan."
"This newest drilling continues to justify our faith in pushing the exploration drilling of this zone deeper, with the highest grade and longest downhole intersections seen since the mine commenced operations in 2011," Booyzen said.
