LONDON (Alliance News) - QinetiQ Group PLC said Wednesday its underlying trading in the first quarter met expectations leaving the defence contractor's expectations for the full financial year unchanged.
The FTSE 250-listed company said its EMEA Services division delivered against its growth strategy by winning a GBP95 million five-year competition for the Battlefield and Tactical Communications & Information Systems from the UK Ministry of Defence.
QinetiQ said the EMEA Services division has increased both its revenue and orders organically compared to the same period the previous year.
QinetiQ's Global Products division continued to grow orders and organic revenue, according to the company, as its North American segment delivered a good performance driven by demand for robots and survivability products.
Shares in QientiQ were up 2.1% Wednesday at 276.90 pence each.
