(Alliance News) - QinetiQ Group PLC announced on Monday that Shawn Purvis will take over as president and chief executive officer of QinetiQ US, with effect on February 16.
Purvis is currently corporate vice president at US defence technology firm, Northrop Grumman Corp, where she leads the Enterprise Services sector.
She will join the board of QinetiQ Inc and the company's global leadership team.
"Shawn is the right leader to build our disruptive mid-tier company in the US by supporting and protecting the US warfighter. Shawn's proven leadership skills are perfectly aligned to delivering both our short-term operational and financial performance and realising our long-term ambition to more than double the size of our US business over the next 5 years," said Group CEO Steve Wadey.
Qinetiq's share price rose by 1.7% to 273.60 pence each in London on Monday morning.
