Kirsty Bashforth held a number of senior executive positions during a long career with BP PLC, "leading the strategic co-ordination of BP's global B2B business and finishing her career as global head of organisational effectiveness," PZ Cussons said.
The company also said that Tamara Minick-Scokalo, a non-executive director, will leave the board with immediate effect for personal health reasons.
Caroline Silver, chair of the company, said: "I am delighted to announce Paul's and Kirsty's appointment. They bring a wealth of experience which will be tremendously helpful to the board as we execute our new Focus, Scale, Accelerate strategy."
